El nivel de Early Years comprende los grados de Nursery (3 años), Pre kinder (4 años) y Kinder (5 años), primer y segundo grado de primaria. En este nivel, los niños inician su proceso educativo siendo protagonistas y partícipes de sus propios aprendizajes, siendo las maestras guías y facilitadoras de sus descubrimientos. Los estudiantes activan todos sus sentidos a través de actividades lúdicas y de movimiento basadas en las triadas de “sonido, color y forma”, y del “sentir, hacer y pensar”, que les permiten ir desarrollando competencias, habilidades y destrezas necesarias para afrontar el mundo de hoy y del futuro.

Nuestra escuela primaria ofrece un entorno creativo e inspirador para que nuestros estudiantes de 3° a 6° grado crezcan y se desarrollen académica, social, emocional, física y espiritualmente. Los chicos aprenden a través de 9 proyectos basados ​​en la investigación para desarrollar sus competencias y habilidades en una experiencia de aprendizaje basada en valores que es auténtica y relevante para sus vidas. Este abordaje se enmarca en los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) de la ONU, cuya difusión es una de las políticas distintivas de Villa Per Se. Así mismo, se emplean otras metodologías activas como el Design Thinking y el ABP (Aprendizaje Basado en Proyectos). Las evidencias de aprendizaje toman en cuenta la diversidad de cada grupo, inspiradas en el DUA (Diseño Universal del Aprendizaje), lo cual nos facilita explorar y aprovechar las inteligencias múltiples de los estudiantes.

Virtuality

Our great challenge is not to robotize education and to maintain our essence through virtuality. In other words, continue working from heart to heart, with sensitivity, movement and creativity, aiming for excellence and feeding both hemispheres of the brain.

Villa Per Se ha implementado la educación virtual a través de una plataforma especialmente diseñada para que nuestros estudiantes puedan acceder a diversas funcionalidades de manera fácil y amigable. Se ha establecido un horario semanal que comprende clases sincrónicas y horas de trabajo asincrónicas. Los docentes utilizan una gran diversidad de aplicaciones y recursos TIC para hacer las clases más atractivas y dinámicas; recursos tales como: Loom, Kahoot, Flipgrid, Canva, etc. son empleados a diario para realizar actividades lúdicas e interactivas. Los estudiantes graban videos, suben fotografías y archivos con sus producciones, todo ello sin descuidar el balance entre las ciencias, language arts, matemáticas, comunicación y las actividades artísticas y psicomotrices.

En una primera fase se innova en las formas de enseñanza – aprendizaje, se seleccionan los mejores recursos tecnológicos para lograr conectar y empatizar con los estudiantes y los padres de familia. Luego, nos enfocamos en mantener y fortalecer el enfoque inclusivo e intercultural dando respuesta a las necesidades de cada estudiante. Finalmente, desarrollamos las competencias del currículo priorizando las áreas y contenidos a trabajar. En esta fase se da prioridad a mantener el bienestar emocional y mental del estudiante y su familia así como el proceso de adaptación a la educación virtual.
En la segunda fase utilizamos todos los canales de comunicación posibles (Google Classroom, Google Meet, Zoom, etc.) ajustando los horarios de las sesiones sincrónicas y actividades asincrónicas de tal manera que se logren generar aprendizajes significativos y no de recuperar horas o hacer equivalentes las horas presenciales con las horas virtuales, sino, que cada contacto tenga valor, que cada tarea por desarrollar sea divertida y rica en aprendizaje.
En la tercera fase, se genera y construye la confianza hacia la educación virtual. Nuestro sistema educativo siempre estuvo unido a la presencialidad y necesitábamos mostrar evidencias de que los estudiantes aprenden, así estén en el nivel inicial, para saber cómo su curiosidad puede llevarlos a descubrir nuevos aprendizajes significativos. Hoy podemos garantizar una educación de calidad, accesible y con la cual, caminamos juntos hacia la excelencia.
Esta experiencia nos ha servido de mucho aprendizaje, por lo que consideramos para el futuro, continuar teniendo espacios virtuales en los cuales nuestros estudiantes son ya expertos.

Virtuality

Villa Per Virtual education has been implemented through a platform specially designed so that our students can access various functionalities in an easy and friendly way. A weekly schedule has been established that comprises synchronous classes and asynchronous working hours. Teachers use a great diversity of ICT applications and resources to make classes more attractive and dynamic, resources such as: Loom, Kahoot, Flipgrid, Canva, etc. They are used daily for recreational and interactive activities. Students record videos, upload photographs and files with their productions, all without neglecting the balance between science, language arts, mathematics, communication, and artistic and psychomotor activities.

In the first phase, it was necessary to innovate in the ways of teaching - learning, selecting the best technological resources to connect and empathize with students and parents. Then, the inclusive and intercultural approach had to be maintained and strengthened, responding to the needs of each student. Finally, it was sought to develop the competencies of the curriculum by prioritizing the areas and contents to work on. In this phase, priority was given to maintaining the emotional and mental well-being of the student and his family, as well as the process of adaptation to virtual education.
In the second phase we use all possible communication channels (Google Classroom, Google Meet, Zoom, etc.) adjusting the schedules of synchronous sessions and asynchronous activities in such a way that significant learning is generated and not to recover hours or do the face-to-face hours are equivalent to the virtual hours, but, each contact has value, that each task to be developed is fun and rich in learning.
In the third phase, the intention was to generate and build trust towards virtual education. Our educational system was always linked to presence and we needed to show evidence that students learn, even if they are at the Initial level, to know how their curiosity can lead them to discover new meaningful learning. Today we can guarantee a quality education, accessible and with which, we walk together towards excellence.
This experience has served us a lot of learning, so we consider for the future, when we return to face-to-face classes, to continue having virtual spaces in which our students are already experts.
